Revamping My Creative Workspace

Over the past week, I’ve been hard at work revamping my creative workspace—and what a difference it has made! I spent time reorganizing, decluttering, and rethinking how I approach my space.

Now, my desk is an inspiring haven equipped with everything I need to create: art supplies, notebooks filled with ideas, and a cozy atmosphere that encourages focus and exploration. Surrounding myself with the right tools and ambiance has already sparked so many new ideas, and I can’t wait to bring them to life.

As the year comes to a close, I find myself looking back on everything this journey has brought—the highs, the challenges, and the incredible moments of growth. This final blog post of 2024 is a celebration of the creative path I’ve walked, a chance to reflect on what I’ve accomplished, and an opportunity to look ahead with hope and excitement for what’s to come.

Looking Back on 2024:

Creative Wins: This year, I finally launched this website, after holding the domain for several years. I revived my coloring book series and published a few more on Amazon. I've taken a few other big steps and will talk more about them as they develop. Seeing my ideas come to life really makes happy.

Milestones Reached: 2024 has been a year of incredible growth, from trying new projects to finishing up some that have been lingering. There really is nothing like finally completing something you start.

What This Year Taught Me:

It was difficult sitting out almost three months while I recovered from surgery in September, but during that time I had plenty of time to think about all the artistic goals I had ahead of me. 

If 2024 has taught me anything, it’s that the creative process is as much about patience and self-compassion as it is about inspiration.

What I'm Looking Forward To:

As I step into 2025, I’m excited to take everything I’ve learned and channel it into new projects, deeper connections, and bolder ideas.

In 2023, I was already exploring themes that Adobe now predicts will define the creative trends of 2025. These began as happy accidents—although not intentional at first, they became part of the visionary explorations that reflect my deep understanding of AI art and the boundless possibilities it offers. Today, I’m excited to share a collection of work that proves I was ahead of the curve.

The Story Behind the Trends:
When I began using AI tools like MidJourney in late 2022, the technology was still in a phase of experimentation. Many of the visuals being generated came from prompts that weren’t fully refined, resulting in imagery that felt surreal, otherworldly, and at times, accidental. As the technology developed in 2023, so did my understanding of communicating with the program.

Adobe’s 2025 trends—like women with flowers or butterflies in their hair, floating fish, and cityscapes with orbs in the sky—originate from this period. These visuals, while fascinating, were often the product of misunderstood prompts. Even though they weren't the images I asked for, they are interesting images nonetheless. 

The Collections:
Here are three key themes that I explored in 2023, now re-emerging as 2025 trends:

    Women with Flowers/Butterflies/Orbs in Their Hair
    A celebration of natural beauty and the harmony between humanity and nature. These images explore the delicate balance between the organic and the ethereal.

A vibrant crown of blossoms symbolizes renewal and connection.

    Floating Fish
    Surreal and whimsical, these visuals evoke a sense of wonder and imagination. They remind us to dream beyond the boundaries of the ordinary.

    Cityscapes with Orbs in the Sky
